Dr. Samuel Hamou received his doctorate in physical therapy from Temple University, a top physical therapy school in the nation. Temple University's physical therapy program focuses on creating success by utilizing techniques that are driven by research. Dr. Hamou hails from a varied background of physical therapy settings including orthopedic, sports medicine, osteopathic, and general physical therapy. His experience is highlighted by his time spent practicing and collaborating with a coalition of specialty orthopedic surgeons. It was in this setting that Dr. Hamou created and oversaw the rehabilitation programs of orthopedic surgery patients with recovery ranging from complex shoulder and knee reconstructions, to the more common joint replacement and ACL reconstructions.

In working with young athletes, Dr. Hamou understands the importance and desire to return to the field quickly, and has taken this into consideration when creating detailed progressive therapy plans for a variety of athletes to enable their successful return to the sport they love. However, everyone’s path to recovery is different. Dr. Hamou’s experience with chronic pain sufferers has led him to develop unique therapy plans with a superior level of care. Employing a variety of techniques, Dr. Hamou has successfully treated and improved the quality of life of many patients.

A variety of tools are used at Focused Physical Therapy to enable the most successful outcome and recovery process. Dr. Hamou is certified and employs techniques such as Intramuscular Therapy (dry needling), High Velocity Low Amplitude Thrust Manipulation, Soft Tissue Mobilization, Myofascial Release, Maitland Mobilization, Strain Counterstain, Osteopathic, Muscle Energy Technique, as well as a variety of other treatment options. At Focused Physical Therapy, not only does Dr. Hamou utilize the above techniques, but he works with each patient to tailor an individualized plan of care that will focus on proper movement patterns, symptom alleviation, and most important of all…quality of life!

Hi there! I'm Eloisa Sagastizado, but you can call me Elo.  I am the Office Manager at Focused Physical Therapy, and I am responsible for all day to day operations here. I completed my Medical Billing and Coding Program in 2012, where that paved the way for me to become a Medical Biller.
